With its contemporary and youthful storyline and boasting of a potential star ensemble, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai may be safely considered one of the classic films of the 2000s. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Sana Saeed, Archana Puran Singh, and Reema Lagoo, among others, played crucial roles in the Karan Johar film, which was directed by him. Since moviegoers may easily rewatch it at any time, even today, the movie has worked to maintain its reputation as an iconic one.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Johar’s first film as a director, will soon be 25 years old. His production company, Dharma Productions, released some never-before-seen behind-the-scenes images from the 1998 romantic comedy’s sets to commemorate the occasion. The principal cast, which includes Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji among others, is shown in the stills.
Along with the priceless pictures, the makers made a heart-warming announcement on the occasion of National Cinema Day, Dharma Productions announced a re-run of the film in the theatres once again, from October 15, 2023. The caption can be read as: “Before you go down memory lane at the cinemas again, here’s a glimpse of everything that went on behind the scenes. Experience the magic of cinema & #KuchKuchHotaHai on 15th October.”
Who could ever forget Miss Breganza, the attractive professor of English literature played by Archana Puran Singh? She is also shown in a BTS photo where Anupam Kher’s college president Mr. Malhotra and Shah Rukh’s character Rahul are seen admiring her in a still from the dance number Koi Mil Gaya.
Farah Khan, who plays Kajol’s Anjali, poses with Rani Mukerji’s Tina and Shah Rukh’s Rahul in a different BTS still from the same song. Rani is clutching the electric guitar suggests that it is one of the song’s opening images.
One of the BTS photos also features Yash Johar, the late father of Karan Johar and producer of the movie. He appears to be having a private conversation with Kajol, who is portraying a tomboy. Karan can be seen directing Kajol, who is now sporting the dramatic golden ka joda, in the last BTS image. In another scenario, Karan, who is dressed in a black puffer jacket, is seen guiding Rani and Shah Rukh as they twin in white.
There are two images from the movie’s section about the Shimla summer camp. Shah Rukh can be seen holding the young Sardar child in his arms and in the moment where his and Kajol’s teams engage in silly charades.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s BTS Images Fascinated Many Fans
As soon as the images were posted, movie fans took notice and immediately entered the comment section to express their opinions. Well, it appears that almost everyone was overcome by nostalgia after seeing the different BTS shots from the movie. While another person commented, “What great days that were. eternal memories. College kids, crushes, and pyar dosti hai time are currently popular trends, another user wrote, “The magic still continues.”
