Taking to Instagram, Rashmika announced her 24th film and stated, “The world is full of great love stories. But there are those few love stories that haven’t been heard or seen before. And ‘The Girlfriend’ is one such.”

In the teaser video, a voiceover in Telugu expresses intense devotion, “I love her so much that she doesn’t need friends, family, or anyone else. I am all she needs. I just want her to be with me 24/7, to have a girl I can call MINE.”
From the looks of it, the teaser promises to be thrilling and captivating, sure to send shivers down your spine.
The eagerly anticipated film is presented by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts. Although the complete cast details remain a mystery, the production team has confirmed that filming will begin soon.
The teaser suggests that ‘A Girlfriend’ might delve into the theme of possessiveness within relationships.
In the meantime, Rashmika is awaiting the release of her next film ‘Animal,’ where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor. She’s also lined up for ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun and ‘D51’ opposite Dhanush.
Beyond these projects, Rashmika has a solo-led film ‘Rainbow’ in her upcoming lineup.
