A ‘Bigg Boss 17’ contestant named Ankita Lokhande recently talked candidly about her romance with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and how she handled their dissolution. The pair broke up in 2016 despite having first connected in 2010 after meeting on the sets of Pavitra Rishta in 2009. Ankita disclosed to Munawar Faruqui that she and Sushant dated for over seven years throughout their appearance on the show.
She stated that she believed someone was attempting to exploit Sushant at the time of his abrupt disappearance and his rising success. She did, however, note that Sushant never gave her a reason for their breakup.
During a conversation with contestant Munawar Faruqui in the garden, the comedian asked her about Sushant and if there was no major reason behind the split. To which Ankita replied, “No, there was no reason. I was blank. Ek raat mein cheezein palti meri life mein”.
She continued, “Woh ek dum ek raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh log uske kaan bhar rahe the. But theek hai. Woh uska matter tha. Mainay usko kabhi roka bhi nahi.”
“Tab toh koi nahi tha na mere sath. Woh phase mainay akele guzara mainay. Tab logonay kyun nahi kaha ki aapko Ankita ke sath rehna chahiye. Kaha thay log. Mainay toh woh phase akele guzara na.”, she added.
Before breaking up in 2016, Ankita and Sushant had been dating for about seven years. They came together on the set of the critically acclaimed film “Pavitra Rishta.” The date of Sushant’s passing was June 14, 2020. His flat in Mumbai was discovered to be empty. Ankita, along with her spouse Vicky Jain, joined Salman Khan’s reality show, Bigg Boss 17, in the interim.
Ankita Lokhande, who is now married to Vicky Jain, also shared that after their breakup, it took her two and a half years to move on. She added that, although Sushant had moved on after their breakup, she found it challenging to think of herself with someone else for an extended period.
Fans lavished praise on Archana and Manav because of their on-screen chemistry in the television series “Pavitra Rishta.” Sushant made the decision to leave the show in order to pursue a career in Bollywood in 2011. On June 14, 2020, Shushant Singh Rajput’s body was discovered in his Mumbai flat. The entire country was shocked by his unexpected death.
