After Virat Kohli and KL Rahul both made a century each in India’s Asia Cup 2023 match against Pakistan on Monday, their proud spouses, actors Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty, lavished them with love. Not only that, but KL Rahul’s father-in-law, actor Suniel Shetty, also congratulated the player on his unbeaten 111.
Anushka Sharma Kept her Wishes Simple
Anushka Sharma, the acclaimed Bollywood actress and producer, couldn’t contain her admiration for her husband’s incredible success and responded to Virat Kohli’s 122 not out on Instagram Stories. She resorted to social media to express herself, choosing to keep it simple by uploading a stunning photo of Kohli. She captioned a snapshot of Virat at the Asia Cup 2023 match, “Super knock, super guy!!”. She also congratulated KL Rahul’s performance in the same match on Instagram Stories, writing, “Congratulations KL Rahul”.
Athiya Shetty’s Love for KL Rahul
Athiya Shetty, joined the chorus of adoration in a lovely display of unity. On her Instagram Stories, she posted a photo of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul from the match, crowning them “Champions.” She woven a collage of Rahul’s courageous moments at the crease, replete with a joyous film of his century moment, in a heartfelt homage to her husband. The actress also dedicated an Instagram message to her hubby. Along with photographs of him batting, she shared a video of him hitting a century. She wrote in her caption, “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise… You are everything, I love you. #1.”
Fans and celebrities were gushing over the cricketer. One person commented on Athiya’s post, “Classic knock brother.” “Nice comeback!” exclaimed another. Tiger Shroff responded, “Yayyyy (heart emojis).” In the comments section, Vaani Kapoor used a slew of clapping emojis. Shibani Dandekar, an actress, also used red heart emoticons.
