Singer and song writer, Ariana Grande and real estate agent Dalton Gomez have successfully settled their divorce. According to reports, Grande, famous for hits like “Everyday” has agreed to pay Gomez a sum of $1,250,000 as part of the settlement.
Interestingly, the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot. Under the terms of this agreement, Gomez will not receive ongoing spousal support. Instead, he will receive a one-time tax-free payment upfront. Additionally, Gomez is entitled to half of the net proceeds from the sale of their former Los Angeles home. To add to this, Grande will cover up to $25,000 of Gomez’s attorney fees.
Ariana Grande, aged 30, and Dalton Gomez, aged 28, exchanged vows in May 2021, marking the beginning of their marital journey. However, things took a different turn when Grande filed for divorce in September, a move that caught the attention of many.
Despite the divorce, sources indicate that both Grande and Gomez have handled the situation with care and respect. One source mentioned in September that their separation process had been characterized by kindness and patience. They had seemingly moved on with their lives.
Their love story began in February 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. By December of that same year, they publicly announced their engagement, much to the delight of their fans.
During the pandemic, Grande even featured Gomez in the music video for her duet with Justin Bieber, “Stuck with U.” Gomez made a cameo appearance in the video, which also included clips of fans from around the world.
The couple opted for an intimate wedding ceremony at their Montecito, California home, with less than 20 people in attendance. Reports from her representative at the time described the event as joyful and full of love, with both families sharing in their happiness.
As the divorce settlement awaits a judge’s final approval, it marks the end of a chapter for Grande and Gomez, who had shared moments of happiness and love during their time together.
