In Dunki Drop 5, Shah Rukh Khan Elucidates The Significance Of The Film's Title And Offers A Sneak Peek Of The Upcoming Song "O Mahi."

“Dunki,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Shah Rukh Khan, has received mixed responses from critics and audiences. The film, which also features Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and Boman Irani, is a comedy-drama that tells the story of five friends who embark on a journey to illegally enter another country in search of better opportunities.

Dunki Movie Review

The film tells the story of Manu Randhawa, played by Taapsee Pannu, who, along with her friends Buggu and Balli, wants to return to India from Britain but can’t get a visa. They reach out to Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan) in Punjab, hoping he can help them.

The story takes us back to 1995 in Punjab, showing how these friends, including Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal in a cameo role), dreamt of moving to London for a better life. They meet Hardy, a soldier who promises to help them. The movie then jumps to 25 years later, with the group coming together again.

Director Rajkumar Hirani is known for his unique style, and in “Dunki” he combines emotional storytelling with humor. The film has a lot of flashbacks, showing how Manu and Hardy first met and the challenges they faced while immigrating to London.

“Dunki” isn’t just a simple love story. It also talks about a serious issue: illegal migration from India. The film uses humor to make a strong point about why many Indians can’t get visas to certain countries. Some scenes are very emotional, showing the dangers and hardships of illegal migration.

However, the film’s execution could have been better. The first half is slow, but it picks up later. The humor in the movie doesn’t always work, and the jokes feel forced. The chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu is just okay, not very memorable.

The supporting cast, including Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover, do a great job and add a lot to the story. Vicky Kaushal’s cameo is a highlight of the film. The cast, including the family members of the main characters, adds many heartwarming moments to the movie.

Overall, “Dunki” is a mix of laughter, love, and serious topics, but it might not be Rajkumar Hirani’s best work. However, it’s still an interesting watch with a strong message and good performances.

But not everyone thinks the same about “Dunki.” Some say it’s a great story with good acting, especially by Shah Rukh Khan. Others feel it’s not what they expected and called the movie “bore”.

As soon as the people watched Dunki, several users took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions towards the Shah Rukh film. @Kannada_BO tweeted “#Dunki is the average work of Rajkumar Hirani career. The plus point was we could see the #SRK we all loved. While the film offers a feel-good experience, it falls short of matching Hirani’s earlier masterpieces.”

While another user had posted a video which claimed the movie must watch –
