Kangana Ranaut and Esha Gupta Visit the New Parliament Building And Applaud the Women's Reservation Bill

On Tuesday, Bollywood actors Esha Gupta and Kangana Ranaut expressed their support for the Women’s Reservation Bill, which was approved by the Union Cabinet the day before. Kangana said, “This is a wonderful idea, this is all because of our honorable PM Modi and this govt and his (PM Modi) thoughtfulness towards the upliftment of women”.

The Women’s Reservation Bill, which proposes a 33% quota for women in parliament and state legislatures, was introduced in the Lok Sabha today. The proposed new bill is called the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.’ Kangana Ranaut and Esha Gupta were invited to attend the inaugural House sessions in the new Parliament building. “This is a big statement that the ruling party and our prime minister have made. The BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi could have discussed anything, but they chose to prioritize women’s empowerment.” “This is fantastic,” Kangana exclaimed to reporters, alluding to the Women’s Reservation Bill.

She added, “This will become a precedent for the entire country. Women are the priority for the country, and should be the priority for every household, every relationship.”  She was also asked about the new Parliament, and she stated that the structure effectively showcases Indian culture.

Esha Gupta also spoke to ANI,  “It’s a beautiful thing that PM Modi has taken this step during the first session in the new Parliament. It’s a very progressive thought… This Reservation Bill will give equal powers to women…It’s a big step for our country. PM Modi promised it and delivered it…I had thought of joining politics since childhood…Let’s see if this bill is passed, you will see me in 2026.”

Sapna Choudhary was also invited, in addition to Kangana and Esha.
