In a first of its kind, over 700 individuals from the entertainment world, including well-known actors like Gal Gadot, Michael Douglas, and Jerry Seinfeld, have put their names on an open letter supporting Israel during the conflict with Hamas. This statement was organized by the Creative Community for Peace (CCFP), a nonprofit group within the entertainment industry.
The letter is a powerful and clear message from the entertainment industry, expressing unwavering support for Israel and firmly condemning the actions of Hamas. It strongly denounces the violent actions of Hamas as acts of terrorism that have no justification.
Hamas initiated an attack on Israeli towns, resulting in a tragic toll of over 1,300 Israeli lives lost, the majority of whom were innocent civilians in their homes, on the streets, or at gatherings. Additionally, many people are held captive in the Gaza Strip due to these events.
Conversely, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the loss of more than 1,400 Palestinian lives, according to Gaza authorities.
Gal Gadot, widely recognized for her role as Wonder Woman, expressed her hope that the world will continue to stand with the Israeli people. She deeply mourns the lives lost and families affected by the terrorism and brutality of Hamas.
Other notable signatories of the letter include actors Liev Schreiber, Chris Pine, Amy Schumer, Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as prominent figures like writer and producer Ryan Murphy and director Antoine Fuqua.
The letter serves as a reminder of the disturbing images coming out of Israel, emphasizing the need for international support.
Haim Saban, a prominent producer and businessman, urged solidarity with Israel, highlighting the country’s efforts to defend itself against the terrorist regime in Gaza, which aims to destroy Israel.
