The 46-year-old actor – who was born in Vancouver, Canada – is one of 14 British Columbians who will receive the province’s highest honor later this year.

Janet Austin, the lieutenant governor of British Columbia, expressed, “This honor is a mark of excellence, reflected in the service and achievements of these incredible British Columbians. Their accomplishments have left an indelible mark on their communities, and ensuing legacies will impact our province to the benefit of future generations.”

Ryan Reynolds has achieved remarkable success in his acting career, starring in hit films like ‘Free Guy’ and the ‘Deadpool’ series. Not only a Hollywood star, but he has also proven his business acumen through successful investments.

In 2021, Ryan Reynolds became a co-owner of Wrexham AFC, a soccer team based in Wales. His partnership with co-chairman Rob McElhenney, known for his role in ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, originated from a social media connection. Reynolds shared the story during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’: “I reached out to Rob through a direct message. I had seen a breathtaking dance sequence he performed on his show. It was a beautifully shot and executed three minutes of television. I felt compelled to express my appreciation.”
