Shah Rukh Khan’s Surprisingly Simple Diet: ‘I Eat This All Year Round

While many folks follow diverse diets to stay fit and reach their fitness goals, Shah Rukh Khan, or SRK, does things a bit differently. He, in his own words, sticks to the same type of food “all year round.” In a throwback video from the blogging site OMH, the charismatic actor shared insights into his daily diet.

SRK, who is affectionately known as Shah Rukh, disclosed, “I eat a very normal diet. I eat twice a day. I don’t eat anything in between. I eat lunch and dinner.”

He then provided a glimpse into his dietary choices, stating that he adheres to “a lot of basic things.” Shah Rukh mentioned, “I eat a lot of basic things like sprouts, grilled chicken, broccoli, and sometimes a little bit of lentils.”

The actor also emphasized his dedication to this routine, declaring, “I eat this all the time, twice a day. I eat this all year round.”

It’s important to note that this might just be a portion of his diet, and viewers should exercise discretion.

Reflecting on this dietary insight, it’s crucial to understand why adhering to a simple diet plan can be beneficial and how it impacts your well-being.

Dr. Ushakiran Sisodia, a registered dietician and clinical nutritionist at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in Mumbai, pointed out that while the mentioned diet incorporates lean protein and nutrient-rich vegetables, it lacks essential nutrients found in whole grains, fruits, and dairy products.

In today’s fast-paced corporate world, adhering to fixed meal times for lunch and dinner without consuming anything in between might not be suitable for everyone. Dr. Sisodia highlighted, “Moreover, it may encourage overeating during those meals, and the individual may lack the energy sustenance required throughout the day. The scientifically established way of eating is to have a diverse range of food groups, divided into small meals, throughout the day. This helps with hunger pangs, avoids overeating, and provides sustainable energy throughout the day.”

Before embarking on a diet plan, Dr. Sisodia advised conducting personal research to find a nutritionally rich and balanced diet that suits one’s specific health needs and goals. As she wisely noted, “Remember, what works for one may not suit all.”
