Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' to Gross ₹ 100 Crore at the Box Office

Jawan has arrived, and the Box Office is ready to meet a thunderstorm. This is the second Shah Rukh Khan film in a year to have the cash registers ringing at the box office. With massive advance bookings, trade analysts predict that Shah Rukh Khan will smash his previous record (Pathaan) and score an enormous figure. The Atlee-directed film is likely to break multiple records on its debut day, beginning with the biggest Bollywood opening of all time. Jawan, directed by Atlee, also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra in critical parts.

Jawan is set to have the Highest Opening in 2023

Pathaan, which premiered earlier this year and marked Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after a five-year absence, became the biggest Bollywood opener in India and globally. Jawan will now dethrone the YRF actioner to claim the same title. Girish Johar, a producer and film industry analyst, predicts a global opening of ₹100 crore for Jawan. He said that the film may easily surpass Pathan’s day-one domestic figures and end up with an India total (all languages) of ₹60 crore. He also estimated that the picture would gross ₹300 crore globally by the weekend.

“I am expecting a ₹100-crore global gross on day one. I am expecting around ₹40 crore of that from overseas markets and ₹60 crore in the domestic markets. It should be a comfortable opening. The opening is going to cross the opening figures of Pathaan for sure,” he said. He added that if the picture has the ability to earn “₹100 crore per day” after that, he predicts a weekend total of between ₹350 crore and ₹400 crore.

Personalized early morning shows

Amit Sharma, MD of Miraj Entertainment Ltd, has confirmed 5 AM and 6 AM shows for the film in Kolkata and Jaipur, respectively. “We are thrilled to witness the unprecedented excitement surrounding Jawan at Miraj Cinemas. Due to overwhelming public demand, we’ve broken new ground by adding a 5 AM show for a Hindi film in Kolkata, a first in our cinema’s history. Jaipur will experience the earliest screening at 6:05 AM in Hindi, setting a record for the city.” He also announced a 6 AM showing at Mumbai’s Miraj Cinemas on Thursday. Miraj Cinemas has sold a total of 28000 tickets for the inaugural day.
