Kiran Rao has revealed details about her upcoming comedy film, Laapataa Ladies. The movie is being produced by Aamir Khan’s production house, and features a diverse cast of relatively unknown actors in an unconventional storyline. The trailer depicts a mix-up involving two brides on a train, leading to comedic situations.
Laapataa Ladies Trailer: A Mix-Up of Brides and Mysterious Disappearances
The trailer begins with a man presenting a woman as his wife to his family and the people of the village, only to realize that he has brought home the wrong bride. Meanwhile, another man is seen filing a report at a police station about his missing wife, encountering a suspicious and sarcastic police officer, portrayed by Ravi Kishan.
Laapataa Ladies features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Chhaya Kadam in leading roles. The movie was showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year. The trailer of the film will be shown alongside the theatrical release of Fighter, an aerial action drama directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. Aamir Khan’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ Receives Rave Reviews at TIFF

Jio Studios presents Laapataa Ladies, co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios. The movie is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are penned by Sneha Desai, with additional dialogues contributed by Divyanidhi Sharma. The film is scheduled for release on March 1st.
