Trevor Noah, a comedian, left his fans in Bengaluru disheartened when he suddenly canceled his scheduled shows, citing ‘technical issues.’ On the same day as the performance, Trevor took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to express his regrets and explain the situation.
In his message to the fans, Trevor wrote, “Dear Bengalaru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows.” The scheduled shows in Bangalore were originally planned to be held at the Manpho Convention Centre on September 27 and 28.
Trevor continued, “We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund, and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment; this has never happened to us before. (folded hands emoticon)”

Fan Reactions: Fans expressed their disappointment at this last-minute change of plans. One fan humorously commented, “Trevor has been Bangalored, not in a nice way though! The joke is on Silicon City. :-(” Another sympathized, “A minute of silence for those who braved the traffic of Bengaluru to get to this.”
Some fans drew comparisons with AR Rahman, who faced criticism for his Chennai concert earlier in the month, marred by mismanagement. A comment read, “This is what a civilized person does! Whereas the so-called AR Rahman was continuing with his concert when people were toiling!!”
Another user pointed out, “See this @arrahman? He realized the infrastructure was s**t and hence canceled the show with a full refund. The bare minimum is this, not rescheduling as per your whim, proceeding to inconvenience people again, and then shamelessly posting highlights.”

A fan shared, “I can imagine how frustrating this must have been for those who endured hours of ORR traffic for the show only to find it canceled. ‘Had got front row seats for this amazing show because I kinda knew the venue was bad and nothing would be audible at the back. My friends were traveling from another part of the country to see this!! This is really sad,” read another comment.
